Swisstek Aluminium gives back to community in a big way

Swisstek Aluminium Ltd, one of the leading aluminium profiles manufacturers and premium solution providers in Sri Lanka, recently completed a major CSR initiative when the company carpeted and restored the Kimbulwilawatta Road in Pahala Dompe. 


The road has been in dire condition for a long period and Swisstek Aluminium limited invested  Rs.5.5 million into the restoration project, benefitting thousands of residents in the area. The newly carpeted Kimbulwilawatta Road was officially declared open and handed over to the community by Swisstek Aluminium officials  including Managing Director, Mahendra Jayasekera, Chief Executive Officer, Tharindu Atapattu, Assistant General Managers, Romesh Perera and Priyantha Gammahe, Group HR Manager, Athula Hewapathirana and employees of Swisstek Aluminium together with leaders of the community and government officials.  


Speaking of this timely CSR initiative by this organization, Tharindu Atapattu, Chief Executive  Officer of Swisstek Aluminium Ltd said, being a key member  of les Group, Swisstek Aluminium Ltd has always upheld the organizational values of giving back to the community. We are a big part of the community that we operate in, and we are well-aware of the importance of infrastructure to uplift a community. 


Restoration of the Kimbulwilawatta road was a gigantic task involving considerable time and investment. As a socially conscious business, it gives us great pleasure to see how our initiative has benefitted the community.
