‘Future World’, an automotive technology exhibition organised by Toyota Lanka, was held recently at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre. It was the first-ever comprehensive exhibition to feature future technology and green hybrid technology in Sri Lanka.
Toyota Lanka educated its existing, potential and future customers mainly on the following areas: technology and engineering (Evolution Lab), active and passive safety features, green technology, Toyota’s future automotive engineering and hybrid technology.
The customers also could approach Toyota genuine parts, motor oils, Toyota-approved products and Pirelli for tyres.
The 2016 fourth generation of Prius and the new model of Hilux – two of the latest models of Toyota – were also showcased at the exhibition.
Furthermore, Business Lead Innovation and Integration Isuru Samarage declared that Sri Lanka would soon receive Toyota Hydrogen automobiles once they are ready with the necessary infrastructure. It was also revealed that Toyota is on the process of testing autonomous vehicles and navigator systems.
It is scheduled to hold the exhibition at six more locations in the county over the coming few months.
