Leading Brands Partner with ‘Envoy Concept 2016’ to support ‘My Friend’

Envoy partners with an array of leading Sri Lankan brands, to take exclusive menswear to new heights at the third edition of the ‘Concept’ show.  The glamorous ‘Concept 2016’ show will take place at the Envoy Mansion on 15 December 2015 and showcase an exclusive range of menswear created to transform the man of yesterday into the man of tomorrow. Conceptualized by renowned men’s fashion consultant Fouzul Hameed, ‘Concept 2016’ helps instil fresh inspiration and a burst of creativity into the men’s fashion arena in Sri Lanka. All proceeds from the event will be channelled towards the ‘My Friend’ project, an initiative that helps educate underprivileged and marginalized children across Sri Lanka. 

Partners of this year’s ‘Concept 2016’ show includes Vision Care, Ramani Fernando Salons, Adidas, Cinnamon Hotels and Exclusive lines. Funds generated by these brands will be allocated towards the ‘My Friend’ project and the show’s partners help to add a renewed sense of purpose to ‘Concept 2016’. 
Commenting on the show, Dasantha R. Fonseka - Chairman/CEO, Vision Care Optical Services stated, “Vision Care is committed to contributing to the development of fashion and are proud that we stand by Fouzul Hameed for the third consecutive year. Further commenting on the partnership, Hiru Surthani - Director, Exclusive lines stated, “Partnering with one of the biggest fashion highlights of this year, ‘Concept 2016’ will enable Exclusive Lines to move to the highest level in the local arena of fashion and glamour. We are truly proud being a part of this project as this project funds thousands of less-fortunate school children, helping them overcome poverty and difficult circumstances.”

The ‘My Friend’ project is an ongoing initiative that supports the educational needs of underprivileged children in Sri Lanka. Since its inception, the ‘My Friend’ project funds thousands of less-fortunate school children, helping them overcome poverty and difficult circumstances. The support that the project gives these children enables them to remain in school and improve their future prospects. Regardless of caste, creed or religion, the ‘My Friend’ project sponsors and supports children by providing them with financial aid, as well as school equipment and various educational materials. The Captain of Sri Lanka’s National Cricket Team, Angelo Mathews, is a trustee and ambassador of the ‘My Friend’ project and he continues to extend his support for the project at ‘Concept 2016’. 

Fouzul Hameed is the mogul of menswear in Sri Lanka and the upcoming ‘Concept 2016’, show is set to further enhance the Sri Lankan men’s fashion arena and uplift the Envoy brand to international standards. The collections that are to be showcased at the event encompass over 65 years of tradition, know-how and expertise and helped to raise the bar of the local menswear industry.
