A Judas discovered on time!

A small group of loyalists of a gabby purohita rendezvoused at his Colombo 7 official residence on the eve of the big poll.

The powwow was aimed at finalizing a certain operation already planned to be carried out on the poll day.   

A family member who too is with him at Diyawanna and a trade union leader, a close confidante of the purohita also participated in this secret discussion.  

While the discussion was underway, the purohita’s young family member broke in on it to deliver a fiery speech and he was holding forth, when the purohita noticed that the trade union leader press a button on his mobile phone. Smelling a rat, he snatched the phone and found on examination that the man had recorded the family member’s speech.   

And that marked the end of the powwow. One of the participants meted out summary punishment to the trade union leader with a few blows. As the victim’s condition required immediate medical treatment, he was rushed to the hospital, they say.
