A powerful political authority and a physician are said to be planning to award the contract to run the canteen at a hospital in mid-country to a local politico buddy charging that quality foods and drinks are not being provided by the contractor currently running this canteen.

But the truth is that this canteen is popular among the hospital employees and visitors to the hospital as foods of a very high quality and even herbal preparations like ‘kola kenda’ are available in this canteen, they say.

The powerful authority had ordered that the contract to run this canteen be awarded to the local politico who is a Pohottuwa member of a local body no matter even if the Chinese food is also being served in this canteen now, they say.
