A forest reserve destroyed by illegal loggers!

A buddy of a leading politico is said to be behind the Illegal logging being carried out in a forest department reserve over 50 acres in extent located in a catchment area of a large reservoir.

 A departmental high-up responsible for the conservation of the forest in this area has turned a blind eye to the destruction being done by the buddy of the leading politico who held high office in the yahapalanaya days. 

Although the politico’s buddy no longer wields much political clout, he goes ahead with the logging agenda by being liberal with peacock notes, they say.
