A long queue of hopefuls for governorships!

A large number of hopefuls are said to be running for the four governor posts which are about to fall vacant. 

A Jayaratne from Sabaragamuwa whom the Pohottuwa commanding a majority in the council has proposed for a post is not likely to get it, according to a rumor going viral. The reason for this, is that his wife is being considered for a top team portfolio, they say.  A ‘man’ from the royal dynasty from the upcountry, a Fowzie, a former purohita, a Sally, a former governor and a Nilame from Sabaragamuwa are among those who have already entered the race, they say. 
Most contenders are said to be asking for the post about to fall vacant in their home province and this request is likely to become a disqualifying factor for them, knowledgeable sources say.
