An underhand move caused the change in the meeting venue?

A meeting of a political party due to be held in a hotel in an area hallowed by the visit of the Enlightened One did not come off as planned due to an underhand move by a politico of the same party, they say.   

When the party members turned up at the hotel to hold the meeting, they had found the place placed under lock and key. So, they had held the meeting at the residence of a local politico of the party.   

The owner of the hotel had closed the hotel on the day in question after receiving a message from an anonymous caller that he would be in for unforeseen trouble if his hotel hosted the proposed meeting.   

The local politicos are already in the know of the person responsible for giving the anonymous call that frightened the hotel owner, they say.
