Arch rival prevents him from backing the ‘Swan’!

The green light is not on yet for the King Rooster who had expressed willingness to join forces supporting the ‘Swan’ at the coming big poll, they say.

They had a second thought about welcoming the King rooster with open arms for they did not know how Diga already with them would react to King Rooster’s advent to the grouping backing Punchi Dasa. 

Given this tricky situation, government bigwigs had chosen Royal Wickrama for the task of paving the way for the King Rooster to enter the pro-Swan grouping without raising Diga’s hackles. 

Royal Wickrama lost no time in calling on the King Rooster and the latter took advantage of this meeting to explain the problems that his estate sector constituents were facing and ask that a meeting between him and Mangie handling the national purse be arranged. 

Wickrama immediately swinging into action arranged a meeting between the King rooster and Mangie and later apprised Diga of the King Rooster’s willingness to back the Swan. And Diga exploded! Launching into a harangue, he issued an ultimatum: “I will quit the coalition the moment he enters it!”

Realizing that he had bitten off more than he could chew, Royal Wickrama gave up the mission he took over and cancelled the meeting arranged between the King Rooster and Mangie. 
And the King rooster had to stomach yet another disappointment!
