A white-collar high-up attached to a state-owned enterprise at Sapugaskanda who had been sent out on a punishment transfer had during the short-lived regime quietly returned to his previous post and begun attending to familiar duties, they say.

The high-up had been transferred to a branch office pending an inquiry into charges that he had provided jobs to his kith and kin in the state-owned enterprise misusing his authority.

The man had on his own returned to his post at the head office to discharge duties as before as soon as the purohita and the deputy in the relevant portfolio assumed duties.Employees fear to challenge the bona fides of the white-collar high-up because of his high status, they say.
