Costly sorcery proved futile!

The country’s ambassadorial post in a European country is something in very high demand among both career diplomats and certain politicos and some of them resort to using undue influence  to secure such a position.  Meanwhile, some envoys already in this post in such countries are reluctant to move out from the post and try their best to hold on to it!

In the recent past, a lady posted as our envoy to a country in Europe had been ordered  back home following the expiration of her stint in that country. She was so unwilling to move out of this country,  she had made every possible effort to secure an extension of her tenure in this post. As a last resort, she is said to have got sorcery performed to have the transfer order cancelled! She had reportedly got down to that European country from Sri Lanka two ‘Malayalam’ sorcerers for this purpose!
The two sorcerers had done the first part of the specific sorcery devoting one full night to it and had said that they would do part two of the sorcery come July by which time it would produce the expected result!
The two sorcerers had collected a hefty fee for their performance, they say. 
However, the sorcery performed had failed to produce the expected result, as the lady had been compelled to report back to the Colombo office following the appointment of a former politico as her successor!
