Do they expect the new broom to sweep better?

There is a Green party Diyawanna politico hailing from the Puttalam district who made a somersault to the opposition. However, he continues to hold the Green party membership, they say.

Having decided to contest on the Pohottuwa symbol at the upcoming general poll, the politico had asked the Pohottuwa leadership to assign him the electorate he once represented. However, this electorate is currently being looked after by Arun known to be an aggressive character. 

The news that the turncoat- politico is trying to ‘usurp’ his electorate has raised the hackles of Aggressive Arun and the latter has been sending request after request to the party leadership not to dislodge him from the electorate he had been looking after for several years. However, Arun is yet to get an assurance from the party leadership that he would not be deprived of his political base.

The politico now facing an uncertain future due to the possible loss of his electorate to a onetime rival is said to be ranting and raving about the delay on the part of the party leadership to resolve the issue, they say.
