Has he planned to gain a head start?

There is a politico who has bragged that if he contested the upcoming provincial poll, he would surely be able to muster about three lakhs of preferentialvotes.  He is said to be the head ofa constituent entity of the ruling coalition.

A former provincial chief, this character is currently holding a political office at mid-level. There is a special reason for him to announce his candidature at the coming provincial polls, they say. According to a story that has gone viral, a son of a prominent political family is planning to run for the chief provincial chair, this character is eyeing.However, an official announcement to this effect is yet to be made. He had thought that he could head off that unpalatable possibility if he leaked his own intention first. He also had meant to convey the message that he was prepared to enter the fray no matter who else would run for the post.

Meanwhile, a rumor abuzz says that there is a former occupant of a very high chair hailing froma distant districtwho is behind the provincial poll story. Very high political authorities are said to be carefully watching this prominent politico who is said to be playing on a bad wicket.

However, some media personnel had asked the son of a prominent political family  whether he intended running for the chief provincial chair in question. And the son’s immediate reply had been: “ I know nothing about this…I have no intension or any plan about it either…”

“Let us wait and see whether this son will stand by his word,” had been the ambitious politico’s reply to this denial, they say.
