This bigwig placed in charge of a province with a big city by a very high political authority has about 20 vehicles at his disposal and he is expected to look into the needs of the people in the province, but so far, he has not gone around the province where the people are badly affected by the flash floods, they say. 

Heavy rains with gale-force winds that lashed the entire area have damaged the crops and torn down many houses while some of them have gone underwater. Meanwhile, the people have to suffer due to frequent attacks by marauding wild elephants which damage crops, houses and kill people.   

However, this provincial bigwig who only looks after his buddies and henchmen and have turned a blind eye to the suffering of the poor peasants, they say.
