He wants it lock, stock and barrel

The Green party senior Maddu from Uwe was assigned an additional portfolio, namely ‘Rural Economy Development’ some time ago.

Despite being duly sworn in, Maddu did not assume duties in the new Ministry.

As a result, this Ministry is functioning today without a top team member to lead it!

Both party high-ups and his close associates intrigued by Maddu’s queer conduct inquired from him why he failed to assume duties in the additional Ministry assigned to him. His stock reply to them all had been: “All the key institutions coming under the purview of this Ministry are being retained by my predecessor while I am left with only four Economic Centres. So, how can I carry out any rural economy development when all the key institutions continue to function under the purview of another Ministry?”  

Maddu has decided not to touch the Rural Economy Ministry unless and until it was handed over to him ‘lock, stock and barrel’.

Meanwhile, the key institutions which should have gone to Maddu at the time he was assigned the Ministry are now being happily run by his predecessor, they say.
