Political rivalry leads to stymieing the traffic-related order!

A white-collar high- up of a governing one associated with a main political party had issued an order recently to the uniformed authorities to change a busy street in a main city in the hills to a one-way-route in a bid to ease the traffic congestion in this street.

But no sooner had the uniformed ones taken action to implement this order, than had another political authority issued an order to the topmost uniformed one in the province countermanding the order given by the white-collar high-up.

The white-collar high-up whose order was reduced to a dead letter is said to be fretting and fuming over the slight he had to suffer.
