Putting out feelers through social media!

A former political bigwig, now in the government no longer enjoying any high status, is said to be adopting various stratagems to check whether there is yet another chance for him to secure high office. 

His latest move in the pursuit of his ambition is to woo the social media, they say.

This onetime bigwig had recently hosted a group of prominent figures in social media to a grand dinner held in his posh mansion in the city. At this dinner, he had reportedly requested the social media high-ups to run commentaries juxtaposing the achievements of the regime he headed with those of the two-year rule of the current regime.

He also had asked them whether the performance of the regime he headed was not much better in every respect than that of the current regime.

However, the social media men who were well wined and dined had given no undertaking to comply with his request, they say.
