A report from a main city says that the authorities of a hospital there discharged a large number of indoor patients on the eve of a visit to the hospital by a very high political authority.

The high political authority was due to arrive at this hospital to participate in a ceremony to mark an event which was of much significance to the medical profession.

The discharged indoor patients were ‘floor cases’ lying on mats in the overcrowded wards.

The hospital authorities had decided to send these ‘floor cases’ back home as their lying on mats in overcrowded wards would not be a pleasing sight to the high authority, they say.
