They got summary treatment!

While the crisis over the big poll candidacy issue was plaguing the Green party, two estate sector minority party leaders called on the green leader to express their views on the issue. The duo had already expressed their support for Punchi Dasa at several public meetings and wondered at the very outset whether they would get a cordial reception from the Green boss. 

The Green boss was in a grim mood as expected when the duo called on him and they eventually broached the subject of the big poll candidacy. Then the Green boss said tightly: “You two had already said that the nomination should be given to so and so. You may go now where you want to…ensure the so and so’s victory, if possible…!”

The tenor and tone of the Green boss’ remarks were so unfriendly, the two minority party leaders had felt that it was futile for them to say anything on the issue. So, they had risen from the seats to say adieu to the Green boss.

The Green leader’s parting word to them had been: “Use your brain when you are in politics…!”
