The purohita who is putting up houses for the homeless with a vengeance these days has decided to name three housing schemes now underway after some journalists, who had suffered physical harm at the hands of some unidentified elements, who had obviously taken exception to exposures made by them in print media.

One of the journalists after whose name one of the housing schemes is to be named is a person who hailed from the Galle area. He is currently domiciled in a foreign country. This journalist who was subjected to a brutal attack had gone livid on hearing that a housing project was to be named after him.

He had promptly written a hard-hitting letter to the purohita concerned asking him not to name any housing project after him. He had while pointing out that the successive governments had failed to take necessary action against those responsible for injustices meted out to journalists also faulted the purohita for attempting to gain political mileage at the expense of the journalists who were the victims of such injustices.

This letter has gained wide publicity through the internet.
