Three royal weddings in a row!

Three royal weddings due to take place this year is the talk in the town these days. They have already begun sending out invitations to the wedding of Number One’s only male offspring -the first of the three due to be held early May at Colombo Shangri -La.  

 The talk is that none of the political heavyweights is going to be invited to it. The number of guests is going to be restricted to about 500, they say.   

The wedding of the eldest son of the former strongman is due four months after Daham’s one. He will tie the knot at a ceremony to be held at his parental home at Medamulana giving pride of place to traditional customs. The reception is to take place in a main hall in Colombo later.   

Wedding bells are to ring for Yoh of the Rajapaksa family about three weeks after his eldest sibling’s nuptials. His bride is said to be closely connected to the New-world family.   

The three nuptials are to come before the big poll. The family elders are reportedly busy organizing the important events these days.
