Unwelcome guest at the ceremony!

The fallen war heroes were commemorated at an impressive ceremony held at the Diyawanna esplanade the other day.

While the ceremony was underway, some political and white-collar high-ups present at the event as guests found themselves sharing in low confidential tones a question that intrigued them all. 

It was the credentials of a certain character present on the occasion as a guest representing the provincial administration that puzzled these high-ups. 

“How come this person has been nominated to come here as a guest?” was the question to which each of them was seeking an answer. 

Several political high-ups had openly expressed their disapproval of the presence of the strange character as a guest on the occasion, they say.
