Wedding witness late by one hour!

Two prominent politicos of the same political party had been invited to sign as witnesses at a wedding held on a grand scale in a high-end hotel in Kandy recently. 

However, only one politico had turned up on time to sign as a witness, causing much embarrassment and concern to the parents and close relatives, 
they say.

Nevertheless, all parties to the wedding had signed the register at the auspicious time pending the arrival of the missing witness, as the hosts had to proceed with the other activity connected with the wedding at the auspicious times already set.  

The other politico had turned up about one hour late to sign on the dotted line to wrap up the registration.
