This politico who had been often at the centre of some controversy or other due to his loose tongue in the past has now surprised his colleagues and political observers by failing to make any comment on the current tense situation in the country despite practically every Diyawanna politico appears to be keen on adding his own voice to the babel on the concatenation.

Meanwhile, a rumour says that the politico had taken a vow of silence following a piece of advice proffered by his party chief. The chief had reportedly told him: “You had better avoid making any comment at this juncture for if you open up, things might take a turn for the worse. The best thing you could do at this hour is to keep quiet!”

So, the politico had taken this advice so seriously, he is not heard of these days, they say.
