Will he stage a comeback?

The current head of the Railway department is due to go on retirement shortly and a suitable successor is being looked for, they say.

This hopeful had during the yahapalanaya days had got involved in a railway project which never saw the day light, and none seems to know what had become of the funds made available for the project. 

He has reportedly got thick with a political heavyweight of the present regime and is scheming to stage a comeback to the familiar post.

By the way, the Big Boss had come to know about the ambitious one’s recent machinations as well as his past shady dealings and had expressed his disapproval about accommodating him. However, this hopeful, a persistent one, is said to trying to achieve his goal through the good graces of Number Two even though the Number One has already counted him out.
