Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC has once again showcased its commitment to innovation with the launch of Sri Lanka’s first AI-driven marketing campaign – “Tomorrow is Yours” – for its youth-focused account, “ComBank Vibe”. This groundbreaking campaign, which kicked off on 22nd May, is the first in Sri Lanka to utilize cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) to engage and empower the youth in a creative and personalized manner that has never been seen before.
The Vibe campaign commenced with a series of AI-generated communication materials that captured the essence of individuality and the aspirations of the youth. Leveraging the power of AI language models, the campaign provided an authentic and relatable touch to each message, resonating deeply with the target audience.
Building on the success of the initial phase, the Vibe campaign entered its 2nd phase on 11th July, with the launch of the highly-innovative, AI-driven platform, “Tomorrow is Yours”. This platform allows youth to envision their future selves by generating an image based on a personal photo and an input regarding their desired future aspirational identity. A personalized image, reflective of their future selves is then created for them by the platform’s AI-driven engine. By empowering young Sri Lankans to “invest in their tomorrow”, the campaign encourages the youth to dream big and set ambitious goals for personal growth and development.
The Vibe campaign represents Commercial Bank’s unwavering commitment to embracing technology and catering to youthful aspirations, and has received an overwhelming response from youth who have embraced the concept of investing in their future. Commercial Bank remains dedicated to empowering Sri Lanka’s youth, and this campaign is just one of the many ways it is transforming banking experiences for them. This campaign builds on the bank’s previous successes with AI for this target audience, such as its Valentine’s Vibe campaign, which allowed users to create warm messages of love on valentine’s day supported by AI. However, Tomorrow is Yours marks the first time in Sri Lanka that an entirely AI-driven marketing effort has been carried out.
Since the launch of “Tomorrow is Yours”, it has received an overwhelming response, with over 3,500 entries flooding in from enthusiastic participants eager to visualize their aspirations and potential future selves. This level of engagement reflects the strong resonance of the campaign, which is capturing the imaginations of youth across Sri Lanka.
“Tomorrow is Yours” has not only inspired young minds but has also demonstrated tangible results for Commercial Bank. The campaign’s success has been further affirmed by a remarkable increase in signups for the bank’s Vibe youth savings account.
