As a continuation of Fairfirst’s community engagement initiatives, their current efforts in educating the future generation continued even amidst social distancing via a series of webinars on Health & Safety Tips for school children. These online sessions were carried out in collaboration with Ms. Pushpa Ramyani, National Coordinator - Training at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka as the moderator. At a time when schools have commenced re-opening, these series of workshops have shared important information in order to promote a safer school environment. Further, these online awareness sessions have attracted more than 1000 households from all corners of the country.

On the success of this workshop, Supun Kotuwegoda, Manager Marketing Operations & CSR proudly stated, “I am very happy that our workshop reached and educated many households. It is very important that we educate our school children in any way and as much as possible on maintaining a safer school environment in order to protect themselves.”

Fairfirst will continue their commitment in educating the community and will be launching further sessions into the future. Also commenting on the success of the workshop,

Sasith Bambaradeniya, Chief Marketing Officer mentioned, “Business is a force to do good and a good business helps you give back to the community even in the smallest way. This workshop was a very important part of our CSR agenda as we believe these programs will help safeguard our country’s future generations by reinstating how important it is to uphold proper health and safety practices.”

For years Fairfirst Insurance has taken a prime standpoint in educating and building awareness among the community. Despite having no direct link to business, for Fairfirst the initiative is all about investing in the future wellbeing of the nation. Fairfirst’s community driven initiatives range from launching road safety programs across schools in the nation where they educate and empower school kids on Road Rules and Traffic Control. Subsequently they issue traffic warden vests and a certificate by endorsing the students as official School Traffic Wardens. They have also reached out to the communities in times of hardship and turbulence with donations focused on rebuilding and strengthening the society.
