106th National Tennis Championship Seeded players cruise to quarter finals

The Men’s Open singles pre-quarter finals of the 106th  National Tennis Championship which was played at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo yesterday saw the seeded players winning their matches with ease to advance to the quarter finals.

Top and bottom seeded players Luca Knese and Thehan Wijemanne along with Vibuda Wijebandara (3), Chathurya Nilaweera, Zaidh Zihar, Yasitha de Silva and Ashen Silva won their matches with ease against Manesh Kajan,  Apna Perera, Ruwan Fernando, Dhilvan Herath, Anuth Wijesinghe, Dinusha Wijesuriya and Meshal Sinnen by the identical margin of two sets to nil. The championship will be continued today.
