108th Colombo Tennis Championship Eliza and Buvindu Emerge as Champions

Boys’ Under-12: Buvindu Jayawardena defeated Damsath Peiris 1-0 (3/0 rtd.)

Eliza Kahagalla and Buvindu Jayawardena emerged as champions in the Under-12 girls’ and boys’ singles events of the 108th Colombo Tennis Championship. They secured victories in the two finals held at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo, yesterday.

The full quota of the three-set event was not completed as the losers retired with only one set being worked off in the girls’ final, which Eliza won, and the match being stopped halfway in the second set with Eliza leading.
In contrast, in the boys’ final between Buvindu and Damsath Peiris, the match was stopped during the first set due to an injury, leading to Peiris’ retirement.
