Hasali Gajaba and Lithum Jayabandu emerged champions in the Under 16 girls’ and Under 18 boys’ singles events when they came out on top in the two finals played at the. SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo.

Gajaba underwent some anxious moments before staving off the challenge put in by Aroshi Thomas to overcome her by two sets to one while on the other hand Jayabandu had an easy passage against Aslin de Silva whom he defeated with ease by two sets to nil.

Results:

Singles Final: Under 16: Girls’ - Hasali Gajaba beat Aroshi Thomas 2-1 (6/1, 3/6, 6/4). Under 18 Boys’ - Lithum Jayabandu beat Aslin de Silva 2/0 (6/2, 6/3).
