109th National Tennis Championship Methwan emerge Under 18 Boys’ champion

Methwan Wijemanne came out victorious in the Boys’ Under 18 category when he defeated Ganuka Fernando by two sets to nil in the final played at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo yesterday.  

Earlier in the two semi finals Wijemanne overcame Louis Knese and Fernando got the better of Sandas Usgodaarachchi by the identical winning margin of two sets to nil.  

Meanwhile Nesangi Hemakumara and Dinara de Silva advanced to the final of the Girls Under 18 when they recorded wins against Hasali Gajaba and Oneli Samarawickrama in the semi final encounters which were played concurrently at the same venue.
