Football Sri Lanka (FSL) have named an 11-member coaching and support staff to accompany the national team for the SAFF Football Championship, which begins on October 1 in the Maldives.
Earlier, FSL announced a 27-member national squad to represent the country at this event and they are scheduled to leave for Qatar on September 8 for a special training session. On completion, the national squad will arrive in the Maldives on September 26 in preparation for their opening fixture of the tournament against Bangladesh on October 1.
Meanwhile, FSL President Umar Jaswar said three members of the national football squad are currently under quarantine after contracting COVID-19 and they are set to join the team from next week.
The coaching and support staff members: Ameer Alagic, (Head Coach), Ameer Doksanaltic (Goal-keeper Coach), Rumi Hassan (Technical Coach), Rajamani Devanagayam (Assistant Coach), Dr. Ruwan Fernando (Team Physician), Ashif Anzar (Manager), Issa Ibrahim (Media Manager), Sanka Jayamina (Data Analyst), Suranga de Zoysa (Physiotherapist), Jeevan Caldera (Masseur) and Mohamed Fahim (Kitman).
