132nd  AGM of Nuwara Eliya Golf Club Rohan de Silva heads NEGC

Rohan de Silva was elected as the President of the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) at their 132nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) which took place at their club house recently.

This AGM which was scheduled to be held in April 2021 was postponed due to the restrictions imposed by the government in conducting meetings and public events due to Covid-19. The AGM was held virtually on September 26.

Immediate Past President Major General Srinath Rajapakse stepped down from the Presidency after five long years of yeoman service for the NEGC.

Trevine Fernandopulle who was previously in the committee takes over the Vice Presidency. Brig. Nanda Hathurusinghe will hold the club’s key position of Secretary with his vast experience.

The following were appointed for  2021/2022 Committee:

Immediate Past President-  Maj. Gen. Srinath Rajapakse

Men’s captain - Sudath Kumar
