14 players for South Asian Junior TT tourney in Maldives

Sri Lanka will be participating in the South Asian Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championship to be held in Maldives.


It will be conducted by the South Asian Table Tennis Association on May 9, 10 and 11.
The Sri Lanka Junior TT team will comprise 14 players and four officials.


Some 125 players from South Asian countries Sri Lanka, India, Maldives, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Pakistan and Nepal will be participating in this tournament.


The manager of the team will be vice president of the Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka Buddhika Niyarepola.

Following is the Sri Lanka Junior TT team 
 Under-15 Boys’ (Cadet): Devmeth Weerasena (Lyceum College, Nugegoda), Janith Batugedera (Royal College, Colombo), Diren Harmen (Royal College, Colombo)
Under-15 Girls’ (Cadet): Lesanya Sethumidi (Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda), Thamadi Kavindya (Sri Devananda College, Ambalangoda), Imalsha Sewmini (Prajapathi Gothami, Ambalangoda)
Under-19 Boys’ (Junior): Chanul Dulsen (Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda), Dhanushka Wijesinghe (Kingswood College, Kandy), Thisa Ranchagoda (Royal College, Colombo), Hiruna Warusawithana (Ananda College, Colombo)
Under-19 Girls’ (Junior): Bimandi Bandara (Hillwood College, Kandy), Ayala Chitty (Ladies College, Colombo), Maneesha Shalindai (Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda), Samudi Prabuddhika (Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda)
