The ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup limited overs tournament will get underway today with the clash between host Sri Lanka and Bangladesh scheduled to be played at the SSC ground.
The tournament will see eight teams in the fray which have been divided into four teams in each group comprising of host Sri Lanka ‘A’, Bangladesh ‘A’, Afghanistan ‘A’ and Oman ‘A” in Group A and Pakistan ‘A’, India ‘A’, Nepal and UAE ‘A’ in Group B.
The tournament conducted by Asian Cricket Council is aimed to support and encourage the talented players from the countries that are participating and to give the young players the much-needed exposure to showcase their talent and to go greater heights at international level.
