ATF U14 Tennis Week 1 Sri Lanka juniors taste success

Sri Lanka junior players tasted success in the ongoing ATF Under 14 Week 1 Tennis Tournament which is in progress now at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo.

Three players in the boys’ category Chamath Minsilu, Buvindu Jayawardena and Sasen Premaratne recorded wins against Eshaayup Desai of India, Tenne Shiral of Japan and Prajeetreddy of India while in the girls Janani Dahmsa Guruge, Sahansa Damsiluni, Akesha Silva and Chiara de Zoysa won their second round matches.

Boys First Round- Chamath Minsilu (Sri Lanka) beat Eshaayup Desai (India) 2-1 5/7, 7/5, 6/1); Buvindu Jayawardene (Sri Lanka) beat Tenne Shiral (Japan) 2-0 6/0, 6/1); Sasen Premarathne (Sri Lanka) beat Prajeetreddy (India) 2-0 6/4, 6/1); Dheer Hemang (India) beat Nithila Methsiri (Srilanka) 2-0 6/3, 6/4); Goreth Lim Hao (Malaysia) beat Bhishman Balarathnarajh (India) 2-0 6/3, 0/6, 6/1)
