Abeykoon century saves Std. Chartered Bank

A gutsy, unbeaten century by middle order batsman Thamashana Abeykoon (100 not out in 63 balls inclusive of three sixes and 11 fours) steered Standard Chartered Bank to a thrilling one-wicket win with one ball to spare, over Commercial Bank “B”, in the on-going fifth Fairfirst Insurance sponsored MCA “F” division 25-over League 2023. The second centurion for the week-end was Pasan Nelaka from Hirdaramani Group (100 in 69 balls, inclusive of one six and 15 fours), which helped his team to a four wickets win over Commercial Credit.   The tournament will be continued this week-end, March 25, 26 and 28 with a match card of 17 half day matches, which will conclude the league stage of 105 matches.
