All Island Hockey Under 20 Boys Vidyartha and Ananda joint champions

Vidyartha College and Ananda College were declared joint champions at the All Island Under 20 Boys Hockey Championship which was worked off at the Edward Park ground in Matale recently.   

Both teams played out to a nil all draw in the final outing. Meanwhile S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia won the Plate and the Bowl was shared by Vijaya College Matale and Joseph Vaz Wennappuwa.   

Kingswood College accounted for the Shield.   

Visaka and Seethadevi joint champions in Girls event

In the Girls event in the Under 20 segment final once again Visaka BV Colombo and Seethadevi Girls College Kandy played for nil all draw in the final encounter.   
Plate final was won by HFC Wennapuwa beating Swarnamali 4-0. Bowl was won by Sangamitta BV Matale defeating St. Anthony’s Convent Katugastota.
