Antonians host Trinity in 42nd limited-over

St. Anthony’s College will host traditional rivals Trinity College in their 42nd annual limited-overs cricket encounter for the Sir Richard Aluvihare Trophy at Katugastota on March 23.  
This one-day series between the two teams commenced in 1980. On that occasion, the teams were led by Angelo Liyanage (St. Anthony’s) while former Test cricketer, Ravindran Ratnayake led Trinity.  
The Antonians dominated the early part of the series while the Trinitians did well in the early 2000’s.  
Trinity are leading the tally with 19 wins against Antonians’ 17 wins while there have been one tied match and four no-decisions in the series.
