Anura Rohana and Chalitha Pushpika tied on top spot

Professional golfer, Anura Rohana and Chalitha Pushpika - both ended tied for first place - at the July National Golf Ranking Championship, which saw a dramatic turn of events as the leaderboard tightened up on day two at the Victoria Golf Resort (VGR) in Rajawella.

This tie adds a layer of excitement as the tournament progresses into its final two days.

Meanwhile, talented youngster Haroon Aslam secured third position with a score of 153. Haroon’s impressive performance so far sets the stage for an exciting battle in the coming days. 
With only two strokes separating him from the leaders, Haroon is well within striking distance and it will be fascinating to see if he can make his move to the top of the leaderboard. 
His exposure in the USA and recently playing in Indonesia is likely to take the player in his home course.

Priya Hemantha, who was in the top-three, experienced a slight setback, finishing with a gross score of 154. 

This placed Hemantha in fourth position, just ahead of another strong contender, who is now in fifth place with a score of 155. Kumara the leader on day one dropped down to fifth place after an ordinary day two.

The next two days of play promise to be riveting as the competition remains fierce. The battle looks between Anura, Chalitha and Haroon for the top spot.
