Apna and Ganuka bag two titles at SSC Open

Apna Perera and Ganuka Fernando came out on top at the SSC Open Tennis Championship when they bagged their second title of the tournament with Perera who earlier clinched the Men’s Open singles title bagged his second title partnered by Inuki Jayaweera to emerge champions of the Mixed Doubles event while Fernando who earlier won the Boys’ Under 18 singles title bagged his second by coming out victorious in the Boys’ Under 16 event.  

Hasali Gajaba and Tuwini de Alwis emerged the women’s Open doubles champions when they defeated Saajida Razick and Savini Jayasuriya by two sets to nil.

Boys’ Under 16 – Ganuka Fernando beat Lithum Jayabandu 2-0 (7/5, 7/5).  

Doubles:

Boys’ Under 14 – Ranon Sritharan//R. Hewawitharana beat Thuvakar Sathees/D. Wickramasinghe 2-0 (6/3, 6/1).  
Women’s Open – Hasali Gajaba/Tuwini de Alwis beat Saajida Razick/Savini Jayasuriya 2-0 (6/4, 7/6(7).  
Mixed Doubles – Apna Perera/Inuki Jayaweera beat Dhilvan Herath/Hasali Gajaba 2-0 (6/3, 6/2).
