Apna win Men’s title at tennis nationals

Apna Perera emerged as the Men’s Singles Open champion of the 109th National Tennis Championship when he recorded a convincing 2-0 win over Methwan Wijemanne in the final played at the SLTA Courts in Green Path, Colombo yesterday. 

Earlier, Apna overcame Thehan Wijemanne and Methwan Wijemanne had the better of Ganuka Fernando in the two semi-finals.

Result: Apna Perera beat Methwan Wijemanne 6-2, 6-0.
