A quick fire knock of 76 in only 31 balls by opener Ashan Randika paved the way for Super Fashion Northern Warriors to record their fourth successive win of the Army Commander’s T20 with a convincing five wicket win over Event Tv Western Warriors in the match played at the Army ground in Dombagoda yesterday.
Super Fashion Northern Warriors in pursuit of 132 runs for victory saw Ashan along with skipper Seekkuge Prasanna putting on a valuable 62 runs in just 31 balls for the second wicket to help them race to the target in the 16th over and also to maintain their unbeaten record.
In another match of the same tournament played in the evening session Batsman.com Eastern Warriors pulled off a 37 run win over Dimo Southern Warriors.
Batsman.com Eastern Warriors taking first lease of the wicket made a challenging score of 158 and then succeeded to bowl out their opponents for a score of 121 to record their first win of the tournament.
Today two matches are down for decision with Event Tv Western Warriors meeting unbeaten Super Fashion Northern Warrios and Batsman.com EasternWarriors clashing against Dimo Southern Warriors.
