Asif Bari new President of MHA

Asif Bari celebrated his 20th year at the Mercantile Hockey Association (MHA) being elected as the President of MHA at the 66th Annual General Meeting held on March 26 at the BRC Pavilion.  

Bari now at SRB Logistics joined the MHA in 2002 and held the positions of Assistant General Secretary, Gen. Secretary, Vice President and Senior Vice President before taking the highest post. He was also a Selector and the Manager of the Senior National Team.  

Dr. Rohitha Silva who represented MHA as a player in 1983 Junior Nationals and Vice Patron (2004 to 2021) was appointed as the Patron of MHA, replacing Bryan Baptist, who stepped down after 33 years. Bryan Baptist along with Chandra Schafter and Hemaka Amarasuriya were made life members of MHA.  

Chandana Weragama from Sampath Bank is the new Secretary.
