Sri Lanka’s young golf sensation Haroon Aslam has positioned himself on 14th place out of 57 leading golfers around the globe on the second day of the Medco Pondok Indah International Amateur Golf Championships in Indonesia.
Aslam completed the second round with a gross-score of 148, placing him a mere nine shots behind the current leader R. A. Latief (Indonesia), who stands strong with a score of 139. On day one he ended on 14th position.
The Medco Pondok Indah International Amateur Championships has attracted top amateur golfers from around the globe, all vying for the coveted title.
This year’s tournament has been marked by exceptional performances and the competition remains fierce as players navigate the challenging course at the Pondok Indah Golf Club.
With one more day of competition remaining, Aslam is poised to give the top contenders a solid fight, demonstrating his resilience and competitive spirit.
The leader, representing Indonesia, has set a high bar with his outstanding performance but Aslam’s steady approach and strategic play have kept him within striking distance.
