Sri Lanka Athletics (SLA) disbursed the first set of monthly allowance to the coaches whose athletes are representing Sri Lanka at the Asian Games with support of their main sponsor DAMRO Holdings.
Each coach was presented Rs 40,000. They will be gifted with a pair of branded deck shoes in the coming week as a part of this assistance which values around Rs 400,000 in total.
Y.K. Kularathna, Sajith Jayalal, Susantha Fernando, Pradeep Nishantha, Asanka Rajakaruna,Vimukthi de Soysa, S.P. de Silva, A.D. Nandawathi, Daminda Bandara, Harjan Rathnayaka, Anuruddha Nanayakkara, Dilhan Aloka and Dilan Mendis are the coaches who attended the meeting held at SLA headquarters.
This will continue till Hangzhou Asian Games 2023 to be held from September 23 to October 6.
Moreover, SLA has planned several programs to support athletes and coaches in the future.
