Athletic selection trials for Asian Youth Meet to be held in November

Sri Lanka Athletics (SLA) will conduct their first selection trial targeting the fourth Asian Youth (Under-18) Championship during the third week of November at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The final selection trial for this meet, held once in two years, will be conducted on February 12 and 13. The 2022 event will take place from March 1 to 4 in Kuwait.  

SLA hopes to field at least 10 athletes (Boys’ and Girls’) for this meet.     

In addition to the Asian Youth selection trial, SLA also plans to conduct the National Stage-2 and the Performance Analyse Test for the National and Elite athletes within the next two months.

Meanwhile, SLA Media Committee Head G. L. S. Perera said the first event for 2022 will be the Asian Games first selection trial from February 11 to 13.
