Athletic selection trials put off to Oct. 30-31

The Sri Lanka Athletics (SLA) selection trials to pick the National Squad for the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games has been put off to October 30-31. 

The Commonwealth Games will be held from July 28 to August 8, 2022, in Birmingham, England, while the Asian Games will be held from September 10-23, 2022 in China. The selection trials were initially scheduled for October 17-18, but SLA decided to postpone the event due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, the postponed 99th National Athletics Championships has been rescheduled to October 16-17.
