Athletics nationals to resume on Oct. 30

The second and third stage of the 99th national athletic championships will be held on October 30 and 31 at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Stage one of the championship was held in May and the second and the third stage was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Over 300 athletes are set to participate in this event and the best athletes will be included in the national pool, Vice President Sri Lanka Athletics told the Daily Mirror yesterday.

This event will be held targeting the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games with the national pool training set to commence on November 15.
