Sri Lanka’s Palitha Bandara will compete in the shot-put F63 final round in the 16th Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan tomorrow (4) commencing at 4:15 p.m.
Bandara has already bagged two para medals in this event having won the Bronze at the World Para Athletic Grand Prix Meet and the Silver at the Asian Para Games in 2018.
In addition, he finished in eighth place at the World Para Athletics Championships in 2019.
Meanwhile, two other Sri Lankan Para Athletes, Maduranga Subasinghe (400m T47) and Kumudu Priyanka (long jump T46) will compete in their respective events today commencing at 7:00 a.m
Sri Lanka has so far won one Gold Medal and one Bronze Medal at the Tokyo Paralympics, where competitors from 164 countries are participating
China is on top of the medals tally while England is in second place with the Games set to conclude on September 5.
